One day, just one fine day, we decided to catch some worms n stuff it into our buttholes......
Lol, yeah, that's the story of Brobdingnagian Group Build (AKA BIG GB)
Finally 6 brave souls are enrolled into this shenanigan (whom I have respect for all of them, including myself XD). After 3 n a half months, here's my entry:
This is a 3D printed kit. Originally, it's designed to be printed with filament so it is colored, and the joints can be moved. However, I have had decided, since i am going to just display it, i requested it to be printed in UV curing resin.
Unfortunately, the seller still decided to make certain parts with filament, especially joints.
Blessing in disguise, I had some hard learned lesson dealing with filament. starting from steaming with acetone (not satisfy), sanding with putty (too time consuming) etc. In the end, finally learn that i should just fill with either UV resin or superglue with accelerator.
Instead of trying to sand down the filament n make it smooth, which is almost impossible, it is better to fill it with liquid that hardens later for sanding. So quick curing time is essential n that's why either UV resin or super glue with accelerator.
The kit coms with LED ready inner part at the head. Taking advantage of it, make the eyes n the forehead visor lit with lights.
It is so spacious, so a lot of details could be added in there.
Another thing that awed me s the clear resin part: with little sanding n polishing, it is actually clear!!
Since the kit is big and is done in resin n contains inner frame, the whole kit is actually pretty heavy; at least a few kilograms. So glue i used s epoxy glue: the strongest glue i know.
Extra parts are i d made one japanese school bag with pla plate, self adhesive pp leather, and some metal.
The water bottle is a gashapon + a shoe lace.
