Kainar GB: EV-0666 Dussack

Ok, finally, after a year, PhotoBucket decided to let me host my photos without charging me. Here's a little update on my latest build: EV-0666 Dussack A-Type from a China original anime series named Kainar.

This series's merchandise was handled by Auldey, yes, for those who  are into 4WD will have no problem recognizing this company.

The design looks pretty SRW, hence, Gundam to me........
Original boxart and OOB of the kit. Main weapon being two katana and crossbow.

First, I must give credit to the unknown original builder for this kit; which i basically copy/heavily referenced depend on how u prefer to call it. His build really impressed me. Therefore I decided just to copy the whole thing, well as long as convenient, for this kit:

Beautiful Dussack!

And here's my shameless copycat: Hahahaha!

For this project, in terms of design, as I mentioned earlier, didnt do much but majority is by copying  the Dussack I found through Google. Unfortunately I do not know the original maker of that beautiful kit.

For color, it is the first time I use Japan Finisher's Foundation White and Bright Red. Honestly, that blew my mind away.

Finisher's bright red, the red pigment is as bright as Gaianote's Premium red. Anyone who has done mecha with pastel red would know it is definitely not easy to mix pastel yet the red pigment still being very dominant.

Secondly, it would be the foundation white. I remember I start with Mr hobby white. then moved to Gaianote's white, then ultimate white, then to Mr hobby's GX white. As white, what i need as a car n mecha modeler, is as opaque as possible. More opaque means it will need lesser layer before covering everything underneath; as a result of thinner layer means the details would be sharper.

I would believe those who r doing white cars in factory glossiness.......

As the the model kit itself, I would say it is definitely worth getting. (though recently the prices have been shooting skyhigh). For a RMB70 kit, it has enough parts to make u feel like building a smaller MG. The fitting is decent enough which i have yet to discover any difficulty in putting them together. Instructions are clear and error free. Overall is a very pleasant journey snapfitting it.

This, I shall give credit to Audley.
